Monthly Meeting Minutes

July 22, 2009

•  Meeting called to order: 6:07 P.M.

•  Board Members present:

• Read & Approved Minutes of Prior Meeting – As no addition or corrections are needed, the minutes will be filed.

• Review & Submit Monthly Financial Statements – Financial statements will be filed for audit.

• Landscape Committee: Eldora reports it’s looking better than it has in a long time due to new schedule. Some common property on Irma was graffiti-ed. The City of Peoria painted over it.

• Communications Committee: The newsletter will be completed in August for the September billing. Eldora requests articles. David suggests an article regarding dog deposits and owner responsibility.

• Management report:

Cathy’s Comments: Cathy and Eldora have been harassed via mail and phone by an inebriated former homeowner who is making complaints about his ex-wife’s home. Police reports will be filed if harassment continues.

• Welcome Letters

            Lot 288 – David & Leslie Moore

• Written Appeals

 Lot 93 – Waiver of $25 fine for weeds – Motion by Elaine to waive, with reinstatement if future violations, seconded and approved.

            Lot 203- Waiver of late fees Motion by David 2nd and approved.

            Lot 318 – Motion to deny appeal and impose fine by David, 2nd and approved.

            Lot 25 - Move to waive fee by M’Kendra, with reinstatement if future violations, seconded and approved.

• Architectural Requests

             Lot 304 – Request to install patio cover was approved.

Lot 550 – Request for exception to satellite dish placement was approved; homeowner demonstrated to board that no other location would permit reception.

• Other homeowner concerns – Concerns regarding business vehicles parked in front of homes was discussed.

• Board Concerns: Parking on streets as a safety hazard, as well as instances of vehicles still parking on rocks and gravel. The board discussed signage for 99th Avenue and Beardsley. Pricing was submitted for the website domain name; David moved to renew the domain name for 5 years, 2nd and approved.

• The next meeting will be August 26, 2009 at the Sunrise Mountain Branch library.
